Me and Squid: A Kitchen Battle
mom: We don't have anything for dinner tonight!
me: The squid's still in the freezer, mom...
mom: Oh, right! You can have it all cooked by the time I get back then!
me: Huh!?

So I got a bunch of frozen squids on my hand and a kitchen knife to cut it into thin strips with. BUT they're froze and stuck together! >x< So since my mom's not here to stop me, I run hot water on the frozen squids.

Well, at least I got squid on the cutting board! And boy, it's easier to cut than beef or pork! O.o Plus, now that I think about it, it isn't as gross as chicken at least... But... As I cut the white things, I can't figure out what I'm cutting. This is a head...that's obvious... Then...could this be...a...tail?

Final Round!
Well finally, it's all cut up and I can cook it. I heat the pan, pour oil in it, and throw in the squids. Hmph. Good thing the oil doesn't jump as much as when I cook beef or chicken! And ha! Look at the strips curl up! ('Cause that's how you can tell if it's cooked or not if you have it in small thin slices.) But...why aren't these curling up...? @_@

waaaaaan!!! >x< I didn't cut all of them the same size, and the bigger strips're just plain too big!!! T_T_T_T ('Cause you're supposed to cut veggies, meat, anything you're cooking into same sized pieces, most of the time)

I finished Estpolis 2 last night.... T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T_T If you haven't played it and don't want a spoiler, just don't read this entry.
And I wondered why Staci called it a sad story!!!! TxT Est2 was a great game, what with great game system and all, but I just hate it when stories and games have sad endings! I mean it's not supposed to be sad, but I didn't know that Maxim and Selena were going to die!!!! T_T_T_T_T_T_T I haven't played Estpolis 1, so I didn't know!!!!! >x< Then Ari asked if I've played Est1 before, so I thought I'd play that too... So I play that game right after finishing Est2 and crying through most of the ending except the credit roll, and what did I find, but that I have to go through their end again in the prologue of Est 1... T_T_T_T_T_T I didn't know that Estpolis2 came chronologically after Est1!!! T_T_T_T_T_T
*biiiig sigh* So I'm starting on Est1, but y'know... I don't like the game system as much, and it looks like a NES game more than an SNES game... Plus, I don't like Lufia too much for some reason... I guess I hate the idea of "childhood sweethearts" too much. Dunno why.
I'm also close to finishing reading Bronte's Villette, but I'm starting to get bored with it... It's too long... I mean I know how it ends, so there doesn't seem to be any point in reading more of it. Although...come to think of it, the mystery of the nun isn't solved yet, and I don't know who pretended to be the nun, so I guess I ought to finish it to find out... I wonder if it could've been M.Paul...but then again, that doesn't make sense... Oh, well...
And I tried to start on my philosophy paper, but it finally dawned on me that it's mentally impossible to do it, because I can't think philosophically. I'm good at analyzing and giving my opinions, but I can't philosophize (if there's such an expression). -_-;; Especially western philosophy. If I had time to waste on thinking if "I" exist or not, I'd be updating my websites or getting ready for the careerfair that I'll be going in June. And all the technical lingo... -_-;;; What the heck does "extension" mean... ? @_@ According to my prof, Descartes considered the "essence of material substance to be only extensions" and Leibniz rejects that idea... But...I don't understand the extension part, so I don't know what idea Leibniz has to replace that idea... *sigh*
If only I can get the stupid paper out of the way, then I can get working on so many other things that needs to be done. It's just that the paper should be my top priority...
But now I'm hooked on 2 more manga series... -_-;;; I doubt that anyone's heard of them, but "doubutsu no oishasan" ('animal doctor') is a really hilarious series about two guys in university studying to be a vet. And there're so many animals in the manga so that it's a must read for animal lovers. XD The other manga's just a light present day fantasy which I like not because the story plot's that great, but just because the main chara's so cool. XD

Ufufufu~~~~ ^-^ Close to finishing Estpolis2!!!! ^__________________^ And I'm so happy 'cause Dekkar's alive! XD I mean when it _looked_ like he was dead in the game, I just couldn't believe that someone like him could die, but y'know, game companies've killed off enough of my fave people that I've given up hope. But he was alive! I was so happy that I cried when he jumped in with all his idiocy~ *^-^*
And today I drove down to my school to see if my paycheck were there, but it wasn't, so I drove over 2 hours total there and back for nothing... -_-;;;; And it's Friday too, so the police patrols're out more and people slowed down each time there was one... I think those police cars're more hazardous than anything... -_-;
But it seemed a good idea to keep with the main group and keep down to 65mph or less, since that's basically the fastest speedlimit on the Turnpike around here, but that's exactly the pace where it's so easy to nod off! @_@;; So I couldn't stand it and came back in the left lane for about the last third of the Turnpike.
Then what happens, but there's a damn stupid traffic jam from the turnpike exit onto the next highway... -_-;;; I hate that place.
But anyway, hopefully I'll finish that stupid philosophy paper this weekend and I can get onto Cattail Cafe. I'm close to finishing Estpolis2, so I shouldn't have anymore temptations... except Villette (sp?) by Bronte, and the HOLC Freefal Event coming up next Wednesday... -v-;;;

My Cat *warning* do not read while eating (XD)
I had to go do the laundry at a laundromat nearby, so I take my hated philosophy books there and spend about hour and a half there doing the laundry and trying to make sense of what the schmuck Leibniz is saying.
Then I come home, put down my laundry and whaddaya know... My cat just threw up on my SNES and my choir songbook that was lying next to it!!! T_T_T_T_T_T_T No wonder my cat looked so guilty when she greeted me at the door! >x<
After cleaning up the mess on my SNES (which isn't broken, I hope...) and songbook, I turn on the comp and sit down to eat while I connect to the 'net. And what does my cat have to do but go to the bathroom just as I start eating... ¬_¬;;; And of course I have to clean that up 'cause the I can't eat with the smell...
So after taking care of all that and my cat's sitting on the window sill innocent as a peach, I start doing e-mails. There's something I have to write down and can't find a pen, so I go to the bedroom to look for one...
*squish*
I step on something wet.... ¬_¬;;;;
Turns out that my cat threw up near my bed originally. 'Cause I stepped on a furball... -_-;; Good thing she didn't throw up on the bedding like she did the first day I was home from school. XP

Whew... I hate philosophy, and I never ever wanna take it again, ever! >x< Descartes was all right, though I disagree with him on most points. At least he made sense. And Locke, I liked, even though he didn't make that much sense at times. But Leibniz... I don't get him... I don't agree, and his arguments seem full of holes, and I DON'T want to write 6 pages discussing these philosophers!!!!!! T_T_T_T_T_T I wish I took that intro to music class instead of this stupid philosophy class... I can write English papers anyday, but not any other kind of papers... >x<
That's why I've been procrastinating=busy updating Catnip Time and HOLC, and even getting this blog... -_-;;; Just plain procrastination... And I'd get to Cattail Cafe update except I don't want to do that until I finish the stupid paper. I want to completely rehash Cattail again... Get rid of some of the old pix and redo the layout... Y'know...that site was supposed to be cute'n small, but now that I think about it, it's grown into a big fat website of its own... Maybe bigger than even Catnip Time? O.o;;;;
And I wish someone can give me designing skills... I don't like how this blog page appears... -v-;;;

Anyway, something that just came up... Masako-sama was officially announced pregnant the other day. ^-^ I hope she can have the baby this time. ^^ And along with pregnancy news, Kimutaku (Kimura Takuya)'s baby was born May 1st! Her name's Kokomi. @_@;;;; Sounds weird, but the kanji are good, I guess. "heart" and "beauty" so I guess she's meant to have a "beautiful heart" or something. ^^ Whee~ Still can't believe that he's a daddy now! XDDD
